Australian Air Core Drilling is an owner operated company based in Kalgoorlie Western Australia.
We provide Air Core and Reverse Circulation exploration drilling. It has a KDISO drill rig mounted on a 6x6 MAN with an onboard compressor 850/300, water injection and truck mounted cyclone.
This rig is able to drill Air Core to 150m and with boosted air RC to 150m. Australian Air Core has a fully self-contained remote camp which allows up to four weeks out bush before re supply.
Owner / Driller, Michael Shorter has 20 + years’ experience. Means all types of geological formations can be drilled to basement when air core drilling.
Sample quality is of upmost importance to Australian Air Core and offsiders are trained in the importance of an uncontaminated & quality sample.

Have worked with Mick Shorter and his crew on a recent AC/RC campaign in Northern Territory for iron ore. The exploration campaign was challenging due to very difficult ground conditions (shallow water table/sticky clays) and hot weather.
